The Integrative Biology and Physiology departmental commencement ceremony is on Saturday, June 14, at 9:00 a.m. in the Court of Sciences (courtyard between Young and Boelter Halls). We kindly ask that all students and faculty arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. dressed in your graduation regalia (cap and gown). Refreshments will be served, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Recommendations for graduates:
- Do not forget your cap, gown and tassel. We do not have extras on hand!
- Tickets are REQUIRED. Have student and guest tickets easily accessible and ready to scan at entry. Don’t hold up the line!
- All graduates are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, as there will be some walking on grass, on the track, and walking up and down the stairs.
- Arrive no later than 8:30am because gates will close promptly at 9:00am.
- Bring your commencement card filled out. (PhD and MS students, please disregard)
- Arrive early to secure parking. There will be multiple ceremonies taking place in the surrounding area. You are encouraged to park in Lot 2 and Lot 9. Consider buying an e-permit earlier: https://transportation.ucla.edu/bruin-epermit-system
What you need to do:
- Complete the Senior Survey from the College of Letters and Science
Information compiled from the Senior Survey is useful to the faculty to assess the quality of the undergraduate curriculum and to identify areas needing improvement. Your response is anonymous.
- Complete the Commencement Confirmation Card (Name Card)
(Print your name legibly and provide phonetic spelling of your name)
- Name cards will be available at the Undergraduate Office beginning Monday, June 1st. I will leave a stack of cards in my mailbox in 124 Hershey Hall. The door to 124 Hershey Hall, door slides to the left. Pick up the name card before June 14. You will keep the card and bring it with you to the ceremony.

- Opening Remarks and Introduction of the Faculty
- Presentation and Hooding of Ph.D. Degree Candidates
- Presentation and Hooding of M.S. Degree Candidates
- Presentation of Outstanding Senior Award and Research Presentation Award
- Introduction of Physiological Sciences B.S. Degree Candidates
You will walk up the stairs and onto the stage with your “Name Card” in hand. You will give your card to Professor Stephanie Correa, who will announce your name. You will proceed across the stage to the Chair of the Department, Professor Rachelle Crosbie, with whom you will be photographed then you will return to your ORIGINAL seat.

You will be able to download the graduation program on the IBP website.
